Physical media is not ordinary merchandise. Steelbooks dent, slipcovers crease, cases crack, and limited-edition packaging can be impossible to replace. That is why every Physical Media Vault order is packed by people who understand what is at stake—because we are collectors too.
Why it matters
The packaging is part of the product.
For collectors, condition is not a small detail. A movie may still play after a rough trip, but a crushed corner, cracked case, or dented Steelbook can permanently diminish the item you were excited to own.
Steelbooks
Metal cases can pick up dents, corner impacts, and scratches when they are allowed to move or absorb a direct hit.
Collector packaging
Slipcovers, rigid boxes, digipaks, and limited-edition outer packaging can crease, crush, or split during transit.
Cases and discs
Standard cases can crack, hubs can break, and discs may come loose when an order is not properly protected.

Why we pack differently from Amazon and other large marketplaces.
Amazon and other high-volume marketplaces may ship movies, video games, and other physical media in thin bubble mailers with little or no added padding. That approach can leave collectible packaging more exposed to crushing, bending, and impact. PMV was built to do better.
