In the not-so-distant future, David is a highly advanced robotic child programmed with the ability to love. He is adopted by Monica and Henry Swinton as a substitute for their terminally ill son, who remains suspended in cryostasis. When their biological son unexpectedly recovers and returns home, David’s place within the family—and everything he understands about love—begins to unravel.

Directed by Steven Spielberg and developed from a project originally conceived by Stanley Kubrick, A.I. Artificial Intelligence stars Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law, Frances O’Connor, William Hurt, and Brendan Gleeson. Based on Brian Aldiss’s short story “Super-Toys Last All Summer Long,” the film arrives on 4K Ultra HD for its 25th anniversary with collectible Steelbook packaging and an accompanying Blu-ray containing an extensive collection of archival supplements.
