Satou has been in love with his childhood friend Hime for years, but before he can confess his feelings, she reveals that she must return to her home world to fulfill her destiny. Unable to simply let her go, Satou follows Hime through a mysterious portal—only to arrive in another world on the day of her wedding.

When danger interrupts the ceremony, Satou unexpectedly takes the groom's place and kisses Hime, discovering that she is actually a Ring Princess and that marrying her has transformed him into the legendary Ring King. But gaining the power necessary to defeat the Abyss King requires more than one magical ring. Satou must journey across this fantasy world and form bonds with four additional Ring Princesses, each possessing a different elemental power.
