In October 1994, film students Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard, and Michael Williams enter Maryland’s Black Hills Forest to make a documentary about the local legend of the Blair Witch. The three filmmakers are never seen again, but their cameras and recorded footage are discovered one year later.
Directed by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez, The Blair Witch Project transformed independent horror through its naturalistic performances, improvised production, and enormously influential viral marketing campaign. This collectible VHS release presents the restored original theatrical cut of the film with newly designed retro packaging created for Lionsgate Limited’s Be Kind, Rewind collection.
