When twin brothers Hal and Bill discover their father’s old wind-up monkey toy in the attic, a series of gruesome and seemingly inexplicable deaths begins around them. Convinced the toy is responsible, the brothers throw it away and attempt to leave the horror behind.

Years later, Hal and Bill have grown apart—but when the mysterious deaths suddenly begin again, the estranged brothers are forced to reunite. With the monkey once again bringing increasingly bizarre and brutal deaths to those around them, they must find a way to destroy it before everyone close to them becomes its next victim.

Written and directed by Osgood Perkins, director of Longlegs, and based on the short story by Stephen King, The Monkey combines supernatural horror with gruesome deaths and pitch-black comedy. Theo James stars in the dual roles of adult Hal and Bill, alongside Tatiana Maslany, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Adam Scott, and Elijah Wood, with James Wan serving as a producer.
