The year is 2005, and the war for Cybertron continues between the heroic Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, and Megatron's Decepticons. Their conflict is suddenly overshadowed by an even greater threat: Unicron, a massive planet-devouring Transformer headed directly toward Cybertron. With the survival of their home world at stake, the Autobots' only hope may lie with the Matrix of Leadership.

Directed by Nelson Shin, The Transformers: The Movie features an extensive voice cast including Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Frank Welker as Megatron, Leonard Nimoy as Galvatron, and Orson Welles as Unicron.
